About Us
Corporate Skills Improvement is formed out of a joint effort of individuals who bring deep-rooted experience in communication instruction, organisational transformation, and corporate strategy.

We believe this combination of experience forms a powerful synergy in our course content, bringing together two fundamental requirements for corporate and personal transformation: training effectiveness and a real-world context.

The first two questions our clients invariably ask us are "What is corporate training and why do we need it?"

Corporate skills training is directed at maximising an individual's ability to communicate his or her ideas with persuasion and effectiveness. Communication of ideas is at the heart of nearly every business activity, and requires that both the presenter and the content be optimised for the occasion. These skills can be learned, and we have seen some amazing results arise when individuals are trained in a few key principles in presentation, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication.

Communication and leadership training can help not only today’s leaders weathering difficult economic circumstances, but also help aspiring individuals get a step ahead of the rest in career promotion and advancement.

Furthermore, having employees with adequate communication skills is essential for a company to compete. A workforce which communicates effectively gives an organisation the competitive edge that is absolutely necessary to compete against best-in-class competitors.

In order to maximize the benefits of employees skills and to achieve outstanding productivity in today’s economy, companies must stimulate their employees through active training and personal development. This view is well-summarised in a quote from the CEO of Whirlpool Corporation:

“The thing that wakes me up in the middle of the night is not what might happen to the economy or what our competitors might do next;… it is worrying about whether we have the leadership capacity and talent to implement the new and more complex global strategies.”

Our courses are founded on some basic beliefs which we believe to be true in any corporate setting:
    - Better trained employees create higher quality products.
    - Leadership development results from organization’s ability to recognize mistakes and efforts to prevent mistakes from occurring.
    - Knowledge and understanding of effective presentation and communication helps employees become leaders of tomorrow.
