Course Objective

The objective of this course is to identify, discuss and develop universal speaking skills and presentation techniques enabling the presentation of messages to be more effective, and ensuring that they are received and understood. Most importantly, this course delivers presentation techniques which can help you produce outstanding results.

The Approach

To reach the top of any profession, business or management, personnel must be able to convey information clearly and concisely whilst maintaining the correct image at all times. In fact, it is now recognised as one of the main criteria for career advancement.

Today’s business climate is more competitive than ever and companies and individuals that wish to fulfill their true potential must ensure they are equipped with the tools that culminate in effective and positive communication. Success often lies in the ability to present the company, technology, strategies, services, product, even ones self. It’s not how good we are that counts, it’s how good other people think we are - and, that is governed by the way we present! Expectations of presentation ability are currently much higher due to the advancement of general media presentation. Whenever we are called upon to conduct a presentation, we are expected to be focused and accomplished, able to set the direction and pace, be competent and confident and most importantly, totally in control.

So what exactly is Power Presenting?

It’s a common assumption that as long as the presenter is knowledgeable in the subject, has all of the necessary information to deliver, possesses academic or professional qualifications or holds a prominent position that the ensuing presentation translates into a Power presentation.

That is not the case.

Power Presenting is the ability to deliver ANY MESSAGE in a clear concise easily understood manner, that, as a result of hearing, a predetermined desired ACTION TAKES PLACE.

That is exactly what this programme does. It shows how, with the drills and the skills to be a top class presenter - an area that is often regarded as the domain of the talented few.

The ability to speak to groups is one of the prime asset of the successful businessman. Anybody who can speak to one person can speak to a group and yet so many fail to do so.

This course includes speaking sessions in which participants are given the opportunity to practice new techniques and receive positive feedback regarding success. The speaking sessions are videotaped, which allows the participant to better understand and critique his or her own communication style, and as well, offers real-life evidence of genuine improvement over the duration of the course.
