High Impact Leadership

Course Objective

The objective of this course is to identify, discuss and develop universal leadershipo skills and motivation techniques, enabling business managers to inspire staff to produce outstanding results.

The Approach

Why is Motivational Management important to corporate success? There are three vital areas to examine in motivation to succeed. The main part of this course deals with providing the skill to win. The motivation area provides the will to win.

Much research has been carried out over the world to establish how to develop staff at all levels into ‘Top Producers’. This research clearly identifies two key areas of staff development that are commonly practised by most management personnel:-

  • 1. Industry/Corporate/Product/Technical Knowledge

  • 2. Application of knowledge/Skills

However, In studies carried out by the university of Columbia in collaboration with successful staff employed by a wide variety of industrial organisations, it was established that whilst enormous sums had been spent on important aspects of personal training to develop their knowledge of the industry they worked in and their products, together with their skills and techniques to apply that knowledge, there was a third factor, unrelated to specific industrial information, which determined the difference between those at the pinnacle of their profession and those who, whilst performing reasonably well, could never quite compete with these top performers. This vital factor was the personal motivation and, indeed, research into highly successful people shows this factor accounted for a much greater proportion of their success than their industrial and product knowledge, or skills. They had identified a third vital element

  • 3. Motivation to Succeed

Motivation, or the will or succeed, comprises three distinct attributes - Drive, Attitude and Confidence - established as The DAC Factor. It is the key to staff development and should be communicated to staff at every opportunity for these three factors will enable managers to motivate staff to succeed.
